Is it possible to get a job on a boat dive under water for tourists in the Caribbean?
As a dive master, I am contemplating the move to Virgin Islands. How do people find jobs working on boats that highlight tourists snorkeling and diving in the Virgin Islands? I've been on these trips before. In general, your boat catamaran sailboat with a captain and two or three guys who help people on the boat with drinks, entertainment and Diving Snorkeling /. How get this job? Are they easy to find?
No offense, but judging by your question, you must be very new and inexperienced and who is against you. Furthermore, you are a foreigner against a group of local people to learn more about local dive sites, conditions and other operators are doing and listen usually about an opening long before reaching the coconut telegraph. They also live there and I have family there for a dive operator knows or thinks they are less likely to let someone who has just appeared. I have long been a Dive Master / AI and had the opportunity to work in many different places in the United States and several other countries in ten years .. It is very difficult to start, but after a number of different missions that now I have an excellent reputation and a lot of contacts in the industry. The call me or send people when they have an opening. I usually do everything to reduce holiday that nobody cares about me taking their work while they are sick or family businesses, holidays, etc. I have always 3-6 jobs per month. The jobs usually run from two weeks to three months. Vary.The Loctions and what more important to be aware of the principles and remember is that the dive community is very low and the word, good or bad, travels fast.
